How LocalUpscale handles local video processing and service data.

Last updated: 2026-10-05

Overview

This policy explains the information LocalUpscale uses to provide the service. It applies when you browse the site, sign in, use the video workspace, or make a purchase.

Information we use

  • Google account information. When Google sign-in is configured and you choose to use it, we receive the account details needed to create and maintain your account, such as an identifier, name, and email address.
  • Purchase status. When checkout is available, our payment provider handles it. We receive the status needed to grant or maintain a permanent unlock; we do not receive full payment-card details.
  • Limited service activity. We may use limited, grouped interaction information to understand whether the site is working. It does not include video names, email addresses, video contents, or other free-form entries.
  • Preferences and session data. Cookies or similar browser storage may be used to keep you signed in and remember site preferences.
  • Support requests and reports. If you contact support, we receive your email address, message and any information you voluntarily provide. We use these to respond, verify requests or investigate reported misuse. Send only information you are entitled to share; do not send illegal material.

Your videos and results

Videos selected in the workspace are processed on your device, without uploading their contents for enhancement. Network requests still load the processing files and check access; browser-local processing is not an offline-service promise. LocalUpscale does not receive the video contents as part of that processing. You choose whether to download a completed result.

How information is used

We use this information to provide access to the workspace, maintain permanent unlock status, process purchases, keep the service secure, and improve reliability.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that operate sign-in or checkout on our behalf, when required by law, or when necessary to protect the service and its users.

Retention and choices

We retain account and purchase-status information for as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations. You can sign out at any time. Browser-stored files and downloads remain under your control on your device.

Access, correction, deletion and account closure

To request access to your personal data, correct inaccurate information, request deletion or close your service account, email support@localupscale.app from the Google email address registered with your account. State the request you want us to process. We handle these requests manually and verify control of the registered address; where necessary, we may ask for limited additional information to verify your identity. Do not send your password, payment-card details or Google sign-in codes.

We normally respond within 30 days after receiving a request, or within a shorter period where applicable law requires it. We will explain any further verification, permitted extension or legal reason that prevents us from fulfilling part of the request. Closing your service account does not delete your Google account.

On a verified deletion or account-closure request, we delete or de-identify personal information that is no longer needed. We may retain limited transaction and purchase records, payment or refund references, records needed for accounting, tax or other legal obligations, and relevant security, fraud-prevention or dispute records where retention is necessary and legally permitted. Retention is limited to those purposes and the period required by applicable law or the unresolved matter; it does not include the videos processed locally. We explain relevant exceptions when responding to your request.

Our support team cannot remotely access or delete video files, downloaded results or temporary video data stored on your device. Delete those files yourself and use your browser's site-storage controls to remove local site data. Service-account deletion requests concern the personal data held by the service, rather than those local files.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above reflects the latest version.
